Overview

PropWatch helps drone pilots track propeller maintenance, estimated wear, and replacement history. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

This policy applies to PropWatch at https://propwatch.tomknol.nl. If you have questions, contact us at hello@tomknol.nl.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use PropWatch:

  • Account information through Clerk, such as your name, email address, and authentication records when you sign up or sign in.
  • Drone records you create, including drone name, model, and registration number.
  • Propeller installation data, including position, installation date, impact flags, impact notes, and replacement history.
  • Flight history you enter, including flight dates, duration, and optional notes.
  • Account settings, such as replacement thresholds, notification preferences, and estimated monthly flight hours.
  • Webhook configuration stored in encrypted form when you enable notifications.
  • Limited technical log data when necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service, such as request timestamps and error information.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain your PropWatch account and dashboard.
  • Calculate estimated propeller wear and display maintenance status.
  • Send optional webhook notifications based on your settings.
  • Respond to support and privacy requests.
  • Protect the service against abuse, unauthorized access, and technical failures.
  • Improve reliability and fix defects.

Service providers

PropWatch uses a small number of infrastructure providers to operate the application. We only share data with these providers to the extent needed to deliver the service:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management.
  • Neon — database hosting for your application data.
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

Data retention

We retain your account and application data for as long as your account remains active.

When you delete your account, we delete your associated PropWatch data from our database. Clerk account data is removed when your Clerk user profile is deleted.

Limited operational logs may be retained for a short period when needed for security, debugging, or legal compliance, then removed or anonymized where practical.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls, encrypted webhook configuration storage, and server-side authorization checks.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal data we process about you.

You can request help with privacy matters by emailing hello@tomknol.nl. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account from Settings in the application.

Account deletion removes your Clerk profile and deletes your PropWatch data, including drones, propeller installations, flights, settings, encrypted webhook configuration, and related notification records.

Deletion is intended to be complete and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be restored.
